The Cabins
We have three cabins that have been lovingly hand-built to blend into the breathtaking tropical surroundings, with a unique rustic blend of comfort and charm. These cabins are as follows:
The Blue Mahoe

Built by hand using Jamaica’s National Tree, the Blue Mahoe, hardwood for exclusive use by guests and visitors. Climb the spiral staircase to your private veranda overlooking the lush jungle.
The Blue Mahoe is an octagonal cabin that features a queen sized pillow top mattress, a veranda with glass dining table and comfortable chairs, an open air bathroom and, just beyond the spiral staircase, you will find an outdoor shower. The cabin is outfitted with a mini fridge, flatscreen TV/DVD player, games. local art, yoga mats and panoramic view of the mountain and gardens below. It’s also the perfect place to enjoy the sunset.

Mel’s Kitchen & Bar
This is the beating heart of the retreat. Nestled amid tropical trees, this hand-crafted wooden-built kitchen and dining area is at its best with the windows thrown wide open. Drink some home-grown, hand-roasted coffee in the morning, watching the butterflies and humming birds dart around outside while Kiara – or her Auntie Kayon – cooks your breakfast.
Once darkness has settled, enjoy your home-prepared, traditional Jamaican food, while listening to the sounds of the jungle or the comforting, tropical rainfall. This cosy and friendly space is also perfect for gathering, playing games, talking and discovering the stories of your fellow guests and family members who drop by, or just relaxing in blissful, contemplative silence.
We can offer delightful home-cooked meals, prepared with love and local flavours for US$25 per person.
We also have additional daily meal plan options, either a comprehensive plan for US$75 a day, covering all three meals or, alternatively, ‘Jamaica’ style, which aligns with local eating habits and includes breakfast and dinner for US$50 a day.
Whether you prefer one, two or three meals a day, you can order in advance or decide once you arrive at the retreat. Please just let us know in advance of any dietary restrictions, preferences or dislikes. We specialise in Jamaican cuisine – preparing locally-sourced organic chicken and fish – and gladly accommodate plant-based, vegan, gluten-free and vegetarian guests.
Breakfasts include a variety of seasonal fruits and aromatic coffee, complemented by a hot entrée tailored to your dietary preferences.
We also offer a variety of beverages for purchase at Mel’s Kitchen & Bar, including local beer, bottled water, local rum, assorted local sodas and juices.
