The Retreat

Welcome to Mel’s Botanical Retreat, nestled in the majestic mountains of Jamaica’s Westmoreland Parish, just 34 miles from Montego Bay Airport. 

We have three charming, sustainable, hand-built cabins set amid lush gardens that are bursting with vibrant flowers and towering trees. Each corner of our retreat tells a story of resilience, love and stewardship of the land. 

We believe in preserving our planet’s treasures; sustainability and environmental conservation are at the heart of everything we do. From our magical outdoor showers and our botanical gardens, to our commitment to local sourcing and eco-friendly practices, we strive to protect the paradise we call home for generations to come.

Whether lounging in a hammock under the shade of an avocado tree, exploring the surrounding areas with our community-led eco-hikes, drinking in the ambiance at our welcoming, local pub, or savouring the flavours of authentic Jamaican cuisine – prepared with love from recipes spanning generations of our family – every moment is a celebration of life, community and the natural world.
